Yes you can use a photo eye on the line coming no problem

Can the lights be controlled by a photo eye? Superchip RGBW 4 or 8 Zone Remote Control, Syncable
For the remote control version, are these lights compatible with a photo eye for dusk to dawn operation? In other words, if the power is cut to the lights via the photo eye signal, will the lights need to be turned on by the remote every time power is cut via the photo eye switch?
