The canister has xxxx holes so yes not sure what your question is and what you need to know?

Yes the top has gasket. There are (2) screws that hold the top to the base, do they go into the canister? Cast Brass Classic Open Face Underwater Light
I have one small brass light that had screws that hold the base on. Those screws penetrate the light canister and allow water to get in.
