To use heat shrink tubing on rope, first cut a piece of tubing slightly longer than the section of rope you want to cover. Slide the tubing over the rope, then use a heat gun or hair dryer to evenly apply heat, causing the tubing to shrink tightly around the rope and secure it in place.
