At C2C Lights, we always advise our customers that when your up lighting is within 12-18" from a tree, wall, or other feature, the "Little Will S. Steel Open Face 120V Well from the tree wall or whatever your lighting than a well light is ideal because it gives you light without having to see the fixture where as a spot/flood/uplight fixture is helpful and more useful than well light if you need to angle the fixture.
