Simply bury your wiring sufficiently to keep it out of sight; since there's no shock risk with 12v systems, it’s safe. However, for 120v installations, you must trench 18 inches deep and install conduit, along with junction boxes and/or rocket posts, to ensure compliance with safety standards and proper functionality.
