The maximum distance for 14/2 direct burial wire depends on the allowable voltage drop and the load it is carrying. We recommend running a single length of a maximum of 100 feet for 14 gauge wire. This length may be shortened depending on the load (# of lights) you have on a single run. For runs greater than 100 feet, we recommend 12/2 or even 10/2 wire.
