For all landscape lighting, the lowest gauge wire we recommend is 14-16 Gauge. This gauge of wire is suitable for short to moderate length run lengths, especially since LED draws so much less power than halogen or incandescent lighting. For long runs or runs with a lot of lights on it, then 12 or 10 gauge may be necessary. But for most installations, 14 gauge is perfect.
